A few reasons for the US... the US made promises to many of these groups and aided them when they were fearing the Soviets and then turned around and betrayed them once the Soviet Union fell, before then, and up until now, it has to do with Israel.. the entire backing of Israel is the biggest reason for why islamic terrorists hate the US, they dislike that America backs up Israel and the extremists see that if the US were to be toppled they could easily take out Israel and that would be overwith.

The UK... I don't know, probably because the back the US? I'm sure other reason... a British person might be able to explain this part better

Simply because it will make the news. They want to inflict terror and they need publicity to do so. Who would have ever heard of Osama Bin Laden if it weren't for him targetting the free world?

Nobody seems to care that Saddam Hussein gassed his own people (and to do that he needed chemical weapons, you whiny liberals). He killed thousands of Kurds and it didn't make the news until the West got a hold of the story. The question is, what atrocities do we still not know about?

American and British journalists are sheep and terrorists know this. They'll get coverage for attacking us.

Basically because the U.S. and U.K. support Israel. If the U.S. were to withdraw support to Israel today, I guarantee the terrorist attacks here and Great Britian would stop, and they would turn and vent their hatred completely on Isreal.

That is because U.S. being the supreme power in the world does not always act in wisdom. The double standard she practices (especially in the Middle East) has reached such ludicrous level that it angers alot of people. Granted USA has got its national interest to protect but she has always acted in extreme greed and selfishness. Nobody can do anything with USA overtly; as such that unstable minds finally resort to terrorism. UK is also a target because she endorses everything done by USA.

We get to do this in a place that is beautiful and full of life. They do not have any idea how to get these things for themselves and so try to destroy what we have.
