i am a 49 year old lady and re-entering the dating scene. most men i have met in their 40's seem to want a "f&@% buddy". is this how it is done these days? it seems so cold and empty in the long run. no relationship - just casual screwing every now & then.

I've recently re-entered the game also...I'm 43 and the women all the way from 20 - mid 40's, well they seem to want this type of relationship. I agree though, it is a hollow existence!

Good luck.

No, not really how it is done. Although keeping one or two around for that purpose may be practical. But to thine own self be true. If it is against your character or morals, don't settle. And learn to be happy being just who and what you are, with or without a man.
I have dated since my second divorce 18 years ago. I have no problem saying no thanks!! to some of the neanderthal advances but also have dated several nice gentlemen. And I refuse to settle for a man that I may not be happy with in the long run. But I have had fun, that's for sure. So establish your priorities. And be happy no matter what!!!! Good luck. Peace.

No there are men out there that want a relationship/companionship but a f*ck buddy is always good to have around until you find a real man.

it's not for everyone, because of the attachment, you gotta learn and understand what the realtionship is, casual sex. I'm 33 and incidentally, he's 41. It took awhile for me to get used to the relationship. I'm ok with it, because Im not interesting in dating....so just make sure you can handle it. Its fun, no string attached, no jealous remarks, pure freedom!

It is the way to go if you don't want a commitment. F*ck Buddies are primarily for those who just want to have fun; help each other out with their needs from time to time but still want to have a choice...options.

No, you don't want a "buddy" no matter what somebody will get attached and then hurt. You either want to be in a relationship or not.

Most people only want friends with benifits now because it to hard to keep a bf/gf and having bf/gf is a lot of drama.

Sometimes it's what people want, some other times not so much. You just have to keep looking...love isn't easy, if it was, it would be so desired.
