I think turkey is one of the most easiest meals to prepare, dont let the size fool you. First it must be thawed, in the refridgerator, patted dry, seasoned, stuffed if you desire, and then cook. Butterball also has videos for you to watch on their FAQ page. They also have a phone number to call if you have questions while preparing 1-800-BUTTERBALL

To make turkey dinner, firstly you have to buy a frozen turkey
(about 11 lbs medium size) from the supermarket.
Then, do the followings:-
1. Remove the plastic cover to defrost the turkey by placing it
under running warm tap water for 1 hour until the turkey turns
soft and pliable.
2. Place the turkey with its back on the tray and brush it all over
generously with either margarine or butter. (Oiling the turkey).
3. Place sliced lemon and apple inside the turkey for aroma,
taste and keeping it moist.
4. Place half-cooked potatoes (skinned) around the turkey in the
tray for baking.
5. Place ontop of turkey a large sheet of aluminium foil to prevent
quick burning of flesh.
6. Place tray with the turkey at 2nd bottom rung of the oven and
turn on the temp to about 340 deg Fahrenheit. Let it bake for
about 3 to 4 hours with periodic watching for the plastic
poppers which is embedded in the turkey to pop up when it
is fully baked!
7. For the turkey sauce, go buy ready-make ones in the super
market and bring back to the kitchen to warm it up.
8. Finally, the baked turkey which is taken out from the oven,
looks deliciously juicy and brown and is ready to be served
for dinner! That's it.

Turkey dinners are pretty easy to handle...and I agree...lol...make sure you give plenty of time for the turkey to thaw out. You just follow the directions on the label...the hardest part for me was always getting the darn thing out of the wrapper and getting it cleaned up before sticking it in the oven. I HATE the feeling of raw poultry! Once it's cooked, it's all worth it.
The very BEST part of any turkey dinner is the turkey SOUP you can make the next day...mmmmmmmmmmmmm! It's soooo good!
Some nice accompaniments to the turkey are sweet potato casserole (with mini-marshmallows on top!), mashed potatoes, peas and mushrooms, (or choose any 2 vegetables you and your family prefer), some hot rolls, and don't forget the cranberry jelly and relish tray... some nice champagne or wine for the adults, milk for the kiddies...pumpkin pie n' whipped cream for dessert w/coffee... Ooooh, I'm hungry!
Happy Eating! (If you cook..."someone else" cleans up!)
