Can your liver hurt due to one night of drinking?

Question

One night I drank way too much, and threw up. But even a week later is seems that when I drink even a certain amount of beer I can feel a dull pain on my lower right side. Is that where the Liver is located? And can I no longer drink again? I have'nt been drinking long, maybe only the last year or 2.

Your right I think its my kidney. If I lay off will it heal it self after a while?

Lower right side is your gut,
the liver is up near the rib cage.
If you are still drinking, stop for now.
Learn to take it easy - drink for the taste, not the buzz. The throwing up is your body telling you it can't handle any more poison.
If your the pain in your side wakes you up at night give your MD a call.

Your kidneys are in mainly your back up under your ribs!! I know because I have kidney stones from drinking too much jack daniels,my doctor told me this,I had to quit,I am 27,which is too soon to have kidney stones!!!.Sounds to me like the alcohol you drank too much of isn't agreeing with the lining of your stomach,it can cause your stomach lining to inflame and/or cause a ulcer.You really should take a break from drinking,or at least cut down.You can land yourself in the hospital if you aren't carefull!

ur liver is in ur upper right chest cavity, it shouldn't hurt but will be affected by binge drinking, sound like u may have kidney probs tho!

Drink a lot of water, and don't repeat your situation very often.

depends on how much of what you drink. i woke up one morning and my liver was laying on the other pillow crying because it hurt so bad.
