we would quite like the middle or south of england, but have no idea where is good. wheres not too expensive but good nightlife (im 25) and plenty of job opportunitys. (I'm from ireland so have no idea!)

Right, why not miss the middle of England, and go to Manchester! its got a great nightlife! and its job opportunities are quite good. Here are a few websites for you to have a look for

For plenty of job opportunities it really has to be the south east (London, home counties) and possibly the M4 corridor.

Unfortunately housing is much more expensive and the landscape not always so impressive as further west/north, but in terms of making a living it's probably your best bet....

Bristol. M4 Corridor, growing town, hot real estate tip, plenty big enough for job and nightlife opportunities, handy to everywhere, international airport.

I'm from Australia and I live in the UK now and I live in Bristol and it rocks. I've lived in Bath and near Exeter and I'd take Bristol every time.

Forget about the south of england altogether, everything is REALLY expensive.

The further north you go the cheaper things get.

Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, York, Newcastle

I myself moved from Dublin to england 6 weeks ago to east midlands england
very multi cultural
lots of work
a lot more cheaper

If you can't do London, look at Manchester. It has fantastic transport links to the rest of the UK as well as England's second largest airport.

come to derby, plenty to do and nottingham is only 15 miles away and there is plenty of nightlife there. Property is reasonable

glasgow - scotland. loads of good pubs/clubs, cheaper than england, great shops, lots of irish people live here
