Berry Flavored Beer

Problem with many of the cherry beers, lambics, krieks, etc is that most of them have a bitter, acidic taste...too tart.

Many breweries make a raspberry (Blue Moon, Sly Fox, Saxer, Jax, Clipper City, Eddie McStiffs, Iron Hill, etc etc etc), strawberry (Lancaster, Pete's, Big Dogs, John Harvards, etc), blueberry (Sea Dog, Rock Bottom, Atlantic, etc), and I've seen Blackberry, Cherry, Watermelon, and even Orange.

I've sampled tons of the stuff and I've made a couple myself, and if I had to pick one favorite of all of the different types it would be this one:

Sea Dog Blue Paw - Blueberry Wheat Ale.

It's out of Maine, so unless you are in the NE US you may have trouble finding it.

So as a second choice, I'd pick:
Pyramid Apricot Weizen

It's fantastic, and as they're a bigger brewery and out of Seattle, they have national distribution and you have a good chance of finding them.

Good luck, and CHEERS!

Belle-Vue Kriek -- cherry flavour (Belgium)
Belle-Vue Framboise -- raspberry flavour (Belgium)
Perfect dessert beers. Not too sweet but great fruit flavour and still tastes like beer.
Framboise goes great with chocolate cake.
I've also made a sauce for duck with the kriek.

You have to try Belgian Lambic ales, they are usually flavored with different fruit. The frambois is really nice, but I am more of a fan of the peach or cherry

Yhere is one like a blueberry or raspberry or something that I had a buffalo wild wings that was pretty good. I'd vote for a good wine cooler though as fruit in beer is not manly.

Samuel Adams makes a cherry wheat ale that is great. Not too strong of a cherry flavor, just enough to be tasty.

Beer tastes like....beer (a fine blend of grains and hops), not berries.

Get yourself a wine cooler.

Silly girl.
