What is a whole bunch of photographs put together to form a picture called???

You know when you place photo's all together, but in such a way that the whole bunch of them together makes a picture when viewed from far off..........what is that called??And how do you make it???

I believe that'd be a "Photo Mosaic". It's pretty amazing that someone can create a photo-quality image with nothing but smaller photographs as a medium. Very cool.

A mosaic, and if you do it by hand, it's hard. But, if you look around, there are programs as well as web pages that do it automatically, you just add the pictures you want in it, and add 1 picture that you want it to look like, and there ya go.

It's a collage and you can make them with computer software or by hand by cutting out and assembling the pictures in an attrative manner. Framing it helps too.

A college?..(i imagine) I drew a large outline of a face onto paper then i decrease out all the faces from previous images and stuck them into it.i purchased a clip board body and placed the full college into it and hung it onto the wall. it really is now a image of faces interior of a face..it takes really creativity to choose the right decrease out faces to spotlight the eyes,mouth and nostril etc even with the undeniable fact that the most suitable outcome it really staggering.

It's a collage, and it's done with photos and glue or some other adhesive.
