but it will depend on where they are, the circumstances, if they have made themselves deliberately homeless.. they may not get help at all!

you can also get lists of B&B's that take housing benefit. some hostels charge £1.00 and you have to be there early, there is also the salvation army.

In most large towns there is short stay hostel accomodation that may or may not be available according to availability and situation. The local social services office should have a list these places.

A local shelter or look in your local phonebook for homeless. Most cities have somewhere for you to stay temporarily. Also look to your local government for help they may give you some information and phone numbers. Good Luck

There are hostels who provide temporary accomodation whilst you approach your local housing office . There is the YMCA or try The Salvation Army.Good Luck

there are lots of homeless charity who are more than willing to help, look through the phone book, they will give you shelter, food and a friendly face until you get back on your feet. good luck
