My dad has had lots as he suffers from colitus. They always give him a sedative so he is no pain, he does suffer some discomfort as they fill his stomach with air (depends on why you are having it done, may not happen to you), and he alwasy feels like he is going to have an accident!!
But nope no pain

I have had it done, it doesn't hurt but does cause slight discomfort after the procedure because they might put air into your bowel to get better pictures.
You will have to take some meds the day before to completely empty your bowel and they give you a diet sheet to stick to for a few days.
I got an injection to relax me, so don't remember a great deal about it. I remember laying on my side and not much more.
It isn't the most pleasant sensation but try not to worry too much.
I found the following link for you to look at it explains it all.
Hope this helps. :-)

Don't worry. You will usually be given something like diazepam for sedation. It will be uncomfrotable at the time, but you will not remember much about it later.
The most uncomfortable part is when they inflate the colon by pumping in air. One thing I do recall from my last colonoscopy was a feeling of bad wind. Most of the time I was asleep, so it couldn't have been too bad!
I have had several colonoscopies under sedation now and I can assure you I have had more uncomfortable procedures, but that is another story!
If you are asking for yourself - good luck and don't worry

They don't bother me, i had an endoscopy and colonoscopy in the same day. They put me out for it. When I woke up it was all over. You may feel some discomfort form the air they fill your intestines with. The worse part of the whole procedure is the prep. Its horrible. The stuff you have to drink is disgusting, and of course running to the bathroom every 10 minutes.

I think you mean a colonoscopy. No, not usually as you are usually sedated for this. It can make you a little uncomfortabble and crampy though as they need to pass a camera up your anus to look into your bowel. There is usually air pumped into the bowel to allow them to see what is going on. This can make you feel a bit crampy afterwards and windy.

I just had one a couple of weeks ago; as I remember it, the anesthesiologist puts you under and I didn't feel a thing.
