I have recently been involved with 2 men who came on so strong in the beginning then put the brakes on. I take things slow, but they got me to fall for them quite quickly. Is it just a game? Should I be more cautious next time? I am very open & caring - did they take advantage? I do not want to become jaded.

Guard your heart til you get to know them better. And yes they more than likely had you pegged then tryed their luck then got out quick. No matter their loss eh! Don't fall for 2nd rate or sell yourself short on the many dogs that life will bring you, b4 you find your ideal. All the best!

Here's my perspective as a guy:

Sometimes, I'll meet a woman and feel a really strong attraction to her. The problem is, though, it's a superficial kind of attraction, mostly rooted in lust. Yet, the feelings can be strong enough that I sometimes mistake them for something deeper. Then, I'll get to know her more and realize that my attraction had more to do with an ideal than who she really is -- which can lead to my getting nervous and slamming on the brakes (not always fairly, mind you -- I do regret one instance of doing this).

It's not necessarily that you were taken advantage of -- but I think that maybe you should try approaching relationships more slowly, giving both you and the other guy a chance to know each other before you become too involved. Don't be afraid to set boundaries and say you don't want to sleep together too soon -- a guy with a good head on his shoulders will understand and respect that.

Yes, some guys do take it as a game. They try to get any chik that's good enough trying to one up each other. I'm sorry that you've been taken advantage of, but maybe you should try to see through their shallow mind games. At the same time, don't cut off somebody who is really genuine.

Maybe you are diving in too deeply and too qukcly, try backing off a little and playing hard to get. It's the thrill of the chase they're after and become bored when they have succeeded so move onto the next 'challenge'.

Keeping it short and sweet . Men always have motives as to why they try to get in your pants if sometimes its not quick enough they brake out , its their loss always move at your pace the true ones will remain as the fakes will vanish . pray about it and move on.

Take care

no people do fall for other people fairly quickly. It's human nature. But get the one who really spends more time with you.

If they come on strong, then they may be looking for lust instead of a relationship. Take your time, if they can't wait, then you know that it's not serious.

its a bad warning sign if you fall TO quickly if hes pulling away maby hes trying to see how far youll go.......... chase after him? beg for him......? i say ignore this behavior it wont lead to a posative relationship, it will only lead to higher stakes to getting you to do what he wants fill his need for afection at any cost.
