I had actually figured it out that my fiance was going to propose to me. I was really bummed out that I knew because I always had wanted it to totally catch me off guard and be a huge suprise! I was totally worried about how to act when it happened. I wanted it to be perfect but not fake.
Anyways...when the day came that he proposed to me...I had no idea! I didn't know exactly when he was going to do it or how. It totally shocked me and I think I might have even blacked out because I couldn't actually remember half the words he said to me. It was amazing. So don't worry about it...you will still be surprised and you will also cry. It's such a surreal feeling.

I found how where my boyfriend has been planning to propose too. He was drunk and started talking about the place he was going to get engaged before we were dating as a way to flirt with me, and then a year and a half later his dad asked us if we were heading over to some state park (we were vacationing in the area). When I asked him about where his dad was talking about (and why his dad cared where we were going) he described it using the same adjective. I put two and two and started laughing when he realized I got it. I was disappointed because I always wanted it to be a surprise and it is in a place that he could have really fooled me, however now he has to work harder to surprise me. I wish I hadn't figured out. It will be a surprise because I don't know what the ring will look like or what else he has planned, but now I know whenever we go to the park to be on high-alert.

I don't know if I'll cry but it is a surprise in the end ain't it unless you have heard him rehearse the whole speesh thing in front of the mirror......... after all it is the way a person proposes to his girl that brings tears to the eye.

you've no longer something to agonize about. The suprisingness isn't each and each of the emotion you get. it really is that undeniable actuality that he should be with you continually and he cares about you higher than everybody else. which will take you to tears :D Congrats :D

I know my boyfriend will propose at some point as we've discussed getting married but I also know I will still get overwhelmed when he asks me and get emotional about it.

I would just go with your first impression, if you feel like crying then just do it. He's just going to want to hear a resounding YES either way! ; )

I knew my husband was going to purpose I just didn't know exactly when. I didn't cry even though he caught me completely off guard. It is up to you. If you want you could tell him you know so he could change the time so you are surprised if you want to be surprised!

Wait but not in isolation -- everything you hear may not always be what happens as soon as you would think it should.
