I have been on phentermine to lose weight for 5 days, I have not slept more then 4-5 hours and its not a good sleep when I do. Does this go away over time, or can I take a Tylonal PM once in awhile to get a good night sleep?

It lessens over time but that also means the Phentermine is getting less effective.
You can try skipping a day of Phentermine, maybe on a Friday so you can sleep late on Saturday.
Make sure you take the pill the minute you get up in the morning. You're supposed to take it 14 hours before you plan to go to sleep. I used to take it at 7 a.m. and couldn't fall asleep until 1 a.m.--so I was living on about 6 hours sleep.

Insomnia is a side effect of Phentermine. For some people, it goes away with time. I took the drug for about a week before I regained my normal sleep pattern. You may also consider reducing the dosage (taking half a pill).
