Well, mine wouldn't cover Nexium but the will cover Zantac prescription and Protonix. I am doing pretty well with the Protonix.

Prilosec OTC, Prevacid, Protonix all work the same as nexium. Prilosec OTC is over the counter
Zantac seems to work the best (of the non-PPI) from what I've seen in patients, and it is over the counter as well.
Call your doctor's office or your insurance to get a different Rx that is covered. It's best if you can find out which drugs are covered before calling your doc, that way you minimize the time finding which drug is covered.

My insurance wouldn't cover Nexium, either. Try Prevacid, it works the same (for me) but is a lot cheaper, and usually covered by insurance companies. If it does not work, have your doctor call your insurance company and tell them that you need to take Nexium because the other alternatives were not effective.

I would have to guess that your Doc gave you the script for nexium, if your insurance Co. doesnt cover that then go back to your doc and try to get samples or the next best med for that. If it was important enough for you to get a script for im sure your doc wont have a problem writing you something else or giving you the samples.

Prilosec is an OTC alternative to Nexium. Check it out. If not, go back to the doc and see if you can get samples.

i will ask my company in the journey that they'll enable me to promote some rules to conceal such catastrophic scenarios! i'm positive, a great number of charges will be accrued, yet at the same time as it comprises paying up damages to the shoppers, some imaginative plans would should be formulated, inclusive of "insuring the coverage company (re-coverage)," to a nevertheless higher company, which caters for some pretty quixotic scopes!

My pharmacist told me to try the over the counter prilosec, that it is about the same. How about Prevacid? It is covered under my insurance and costs about the same as the over the counter prilosec.

Not entirely sure. Try calling up the pharmacy they'll be able to tell you what the best generic one is and give you a price as well.

I don't know what area you live in, here in California Costco is the least expensive, or Sam's club in the mid west area.
