Charles Darwin openly admitted that even he didn't believe what he came up with. Everything about the THEORY of evolution is just that. A THEORY. There is no scientific proof that we evolved from monkeys or any other creature. All he was doing, was giving humans something to think about. Unfortunately, some people took it little too seriously and those who are not properly educated tend to believe that load of crap. So to answer your question, No I don't think he should be condemned to Hell.

No. The theory of evolution and scientifice theories about the universe are quite consistent to the Bible's creation story of nothingness becoming the cosmos, planets forming, water forming, and animals and then humans coming at the end of the "week" God "worked." Considering the level of scientific knowledge at the time of Genesis' authorship, it is pretty solid.

No! Well, I hope not. He was one of the greatest people to live, where would we be without him??
No person should be condemned for trying to make the world a better place.

Besides, have you thought that maybe he didn't/doesn't/wouldn't care where he was sent now? Now he's made his point and the world revolves with his theory, he's accomplished his dream. What more could he ask for?
Some people don't care what happens to them after they've done what they were born to do.

No more than Galileo is condemned to hell for daring to believe that the earth wasn't the center of the universe.

Charles Darwin like everyone else will be judged on:

John3:16

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.

18"There is no judgment awaiting those who trust him. But those who do not trust him have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God. 19Their judgment is based on this fact: The light from heaven came into the world, but they loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. 20They hate the light because they want to sin in the darkness. They stay away from the light for fear their sins will be exposed and they will be punished. 21But those who do what is right come to the light gladly, so everyone can see that they are doing what God wants."

Wow. First you think that you look like God, and now you think it's up to you to judge and condemn someone to Hell? How arrogant!

Yet another reason why I don't go for your God.

no, because then everyone who had a great idea (right or wrong) would have to be condemned for thinking outside the box. should ben franklin be condemned for playing in lightning?

No.

He tried (and regardless of whether you think he succeeded or failed) to understand the world around him a little more. Using the rationalism and intelligence he was given, to question things or try to understand things is not wrong. If it was, we'd still be in caves scared of the sun.

What does a scientific theory have to do with religion? Evolution and religion are two entirely separate things.

How about, "Judge not, lest ye be judged"? God alone is the one who decides where someone will be spending eternity. I don't spend my time on these issues.
