I was just wondering if it had been done before and if so with what? It seems to me that if we know the structure of a virus and it's components why cant we give it something that eliminates it?

there was a docu on a few years back where a lab in one of the old russian states had developed bacteria or some such that did just this but in science if you dont publish in english you pretty much get ignored

it IS possible and is the way ahead ~ the anti-biotics we have are rapidly becoming less effective

a virus is polymorphic ie it can adapt like the common cold so it would never be useless

I thought that was what vaccinations were. They did it with small pox I think.
