Adam and Eve where the worlds very first soul mates. Being Eve was created from a rib of Adam, she had a real connection with Adam. They shared a true love that only a few get to experience. God created them both to be together. I'm sure Adam felt complete with Eve by his side. They were One with each other. It may sound silly but if you have ever experienced TRUE love then you will know what I mean. God creates us to love and for that special person to love us. So yes I believe that if there would have been someone named sean there Eve would have chosen Adam. True love overcomes all !!

Yeah, they were the first true soul mates. Especially since Eve was made from one of Adam's ribs. Even if there was a Sean, Eve would have still chosen Adam.

I wouldn't say so... if you take the story as written how can it be a soul mate when you only have one choice. How would you know any better?
If Sean was around Eve could have a choice and then decide whom she thinks her soul mate would be.

Given the fact that the choices were very limited, It's probably safe to say they were soul mates, and if Sean was around, well that would just throw a monkey wrench in the whole thing! =0)

I thought we had decided that you can indeed have more than one soul mate? Personally, I think she would have gone for Sean, because Adam probably had some kind of superiority complex, being "the first" and all....I can see him being a jerk about it =)

Adam and Eve did no longer somewhat have a call in the priority. there is not any such element as a "soul mate". there is not any suitable individual for each individual, this is a delusion that no-one can stay as much as.
