I've swallowed lots of gum, used to swallow it everyday before chior in high school, never harmed me. Also swallowed a dime once, dont know if it ever came out.

Homecoming- 10th grade - 18 yrs go. My best friend swallowed one of those large corsage pins. She was pinning his boutonniere on and stuck the pin in her mouth to hold it there a second and ended up swallowing it. We spent the night in the ER. I saw the xrays...it was there........they went to do another xray about an hour later to make sure it hadn't moved and then take her to surgery to remove it and then they couldn't find it. The pin was never to be seen or heard from again.

as a child i swallowed a coin. my mother says it reappeared whole and i was just fine
