Being rich isn't having what you want. It's wanting what you have.

I was raised as a Roman Catholic. Now I look at religions like Catholicism as having some good extremes such as mercy, forgiveness, charity, etc. But, having some bad extremes such as not recognizing that animals have a soul and sometimes also neglecting the environment.

At the age of eighteen I ran away from home and joined the Bhakti Yoga society commonly known as the Hare Krsna Movement. I got educated in Bhakti Yoga and learned to take vegetarianism and reincarnation seriously for both material and spiritual reasons.

I have been over all major issues in regards to different beliefs of the world and still feel comfortable with my adoption of the Bhakti Yoga beliefs.

In Bhakti Yoga we are taught that real wealth is in Yajna and Tapasya for the sake of the Supreme. We believe there is one Supreme Being, one God.

I would classify myself as Agnostic/Atheist, and am also not rich in the material sense. But my life is full of hope, wonder, challenge and friendship. I have a wonderful spouse who is my complete soul mate, and we help each other through hard times and compliment each other almost perfectly.

I look forward to what I'll be able to learn and do in the future, and hope to share it all with my wife for as long as possible. It's good that your faith allows you to post a non-judgemental question, and that it lets you be happy with who you are.

I am Christian (protestant) but I am also go to Charismatic Church.
I am Christian since I was a child. Now I have married and I am still believe in JESUS. I am very satisfy with my religion because in my religion I find JESUS who I believe is GOD and my Savior.
For me rich or not is no matter, because money can't save your soul. The most important is how rich JESUS in your heart and life (you know what I mean). As long as you believe in JESUS and worship him in your life then all the bless from GOD shall you receive

I am a VERY proud muslim.
i changed from being a catholic to Islam 19 years ago.
It was and is the best decision I ever made.
My religion is everything to me.
I am a little concerned that you said you are christian and is rich. What has wealth got to do with your religion?
you seem more concerned about the wealth than the inner wealth.
Your inner wealth i mean spiritual.
I would not change my religion for anything in the world.(rich/poor)
may the peace of God be upon you.

I am a Christian and am very happy with my faith. I have a wonderful church with very caring people. I am blessed with a wonderful family. I have a roof over my head and food to eat and great friends. I am happy with my life. This is not to say that bad things don't happen to me but when they do I have a great support system to fall back on.

I am also Cathoilic and like you, I am not wealthy, but am very rich. I think hte Catholic faith's emphasis on the faith community is the reason for this.

The Catholic faith is not a "me and God" faith, but a "God and us" faith. We are a faith community that cares and loves each other. When one of us suffers, we all suffer. When one of us rejoices we all rejoice. We are the Body of Christ.

I have faith in myself and have complete confidence in life. By all means, I shall be wealthy within the next few years and it's because I don't curb my life to satisfy some crazy, made up god.
