Does anyone know how to make quilt clips, I can't find ones that match my nursery bedding so I want to just make them myself but I need instructions.

If you don't mind sewing onto the existing quilt... Sew buttons equally spaced on both sides of quilt making sure that the buttons on reverse match up. Then with your chosen fabric, make tabs with button holes on both ends. get dowelling, paint it what ever colour that matches room scheme, hang dowelling up on wall, button the tabs over dowelling Ta da! instant quilt clips!!

You could attach a quilt sleeve to the back- take a strip of fabric a little shorter than the width of the quilt, and about 6" wide (make sure it will fit around the dowel you're using to hang it), turn the edges under and slipstitch to the backing. Slide the dowel through the sleeve and hang. This will provide more even support.

You might just want to get a very, very plain set of clips -- like the ones at ebay at the link below -- and then refinish them to match the bedding in the nursery. Or have you checked ebay -- I came up with 78 responses to quilt clips, so maybe there is something there that would work for you? I tried to find a pattern, etc., so you could make them, but had not luck -- sorry! Good luck.
