I don't like things like monster-spray b/c although it may work, you would be lying to your child & teaching him that it's OK to lie... I would tell him that ghosts are not real and find books like Casper to read to him. For a while you might also want to let him sleep with the light on or use a nightlight.

First I would go and speak with aftercare about that.
Second get a light for the child in the room... then I ll tell you what I did for my son... I gave him a coin that would not allow ghosts near him! It was a protecter.
No problems since.

FIRST, what is AFTERCARE doing telling ghost stories? You need to tell them to nip that in the bud.

As for the monster issue, use Monster Spray! It worked wonders with my son. Just give him a spray bottle and tell him is dissolves monsters.

Good Luck

What are they doing scaring kids with ghost stories in aftercare? Confront them about this.

Oh I'd be yelling at a few people at the aftercare! What in the world would they tell them ghost stories for??? That is dumb, not all kids think that they are funny...some, expecially sensitive kids take then serious...so yeah I'd be chewing someone out!!!!

Don't sit and tell your child ghost are not real. They are real to him and it would be like telling you the sun is purple. What i do for my kids...I ask them about the ghost..what did it look like..what did it do..then i ask did it scare them?? Then we go into the what to say to a ghost. "Ghost, you need to go away. You are scaring me and I need to get my sleep, GO AWAY NOW!" Before bed i check everything for them and say "no ghost here, no ghost there, no ghost in this room". This worked for me..now my house is ghost free!!

My daughter was scared of monsters so what I did was fill a spray bottle with water and put on a label that said monster spray. I spray it around her room every night. It worked really well!
