Milkshakes are tough to do low-fat because to me, they just don't taste like the real thing. Smoothies on the other hand, have the consistecy, but more flavor, so it's easier to keep them low fat.

The key I've found to smoothies is to a) use low-fat or fat-free vanilla yogurt and b) canned fruit can help offset the cost, but make sure there is no sugar added (del monte makes a good one called carb counters that is packed in its own juice) and c) use some type of exract (almond, orange, etc.) this will help give the smoothie another dimension of flavor. Here's a great one if you like cherries:

- 1 cup light vanilla yogurt
- 3/4 cup fresh/frozen sweet cherries
- 1 can pears (drained, packed in water or natural juices)
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 5-6 ice cubes

i had a friend with the same dilemma. go to your local super market and pick up some plain soymilk and cream, and some fat free flavoring syrup. And by making it at home you can (hopefully)control the AMOUNT of flavoring. If not i would try smoothies or a sorbet'

Not sure if there is such a thing (at least not a good tasting one, anyway). You'll probably need to go to drinking fruit smoothies...make them yourself at home in a blender...that way you can control the fat/sugar content.

Not a milk shake, but try the Innocent range. Delicious! You could also try fruit smoothies.
