We are redesigning our website and I need to know if it is neccessary to make any donations made to us public as a declaration of thanks. I can't find anywhere else that does it, so I guess it's not part of the "contract" of being a charity, but do you think we should make it part of our website?

a) I think you are right in saying you don't HAVE to disclose contributions (unless your charity falls under some regulations other than just those set for all charities).

b) Should you build something into the website? It depends what the charity is doing - if it is supporting something that may have some social stigma attached, probably not. Whatever you decide to do, though, you should be mindful of, among other things, the Data Protection Act and ensure that a donor is not identified unless they have given express consent.

In short, normal good manners apply!
