The bible in the new testament says we must pray without ceasing, it also explains how, it says to sing hymns to each other, read scripture to each other, sing praises and worshiply to God, also uttering prayer, ie this is how we stay close to the Lord, it also says seek the Lord and the devil will flee from you, any doubt insecurity and pain must be fended off with praise to God as it's the devils leading and confusing us.

I don't spend any time at all with God, because I don't believe there is a God. I do spend my time working, training my dog, spending time with my boyfriend, and countless other things rather than wasting it on an unproven deity.

I try to read his Word daily, pray as much as I can. I also spend some time listening to gospel music, helps me concentrate my thoughts on Him.
I am not sure how much is enough, but I will like to cultivate a regular discipline for a start.
