Where r u having this party ? if its at home then when she returns from work she can just walk into her surprise party w/out any convincing from u. If its at a friend's place or a restaurant , u will hav to lie to her. Say ur meeting a friend there & take her along.

eh, i wud say do it at a time she isnt tired, but dont spend any of ur salary as yet. Just call her for a get together with all your family. Then, make sure u call her one hour later than every1
THEN, Announce the whole thing at the party
Then she;ll be all filmy. definitely do this. ah! and yes, make her cut a cake that u made saying sumthing like " MY SIS-MY WORLD" and then she gets even happier. then she';; say u shudnt have done this and u say"it was all worth it for my sis, every penny" Then she'll blush. Then you get a mic and sing a song or just like perform that uh- ya "Phoolon ka taaron ka, sabka kehna hai. Ek hazaaron mein, meri behna hai! "Get the lyrics n practise the song.well, as long as u get the mood right, the notes wont matter.

1) go out shopping and then say you need to stop by your place for something(make it up).
2) if living at home in the same home. have 1 one her friends (thats coming to the party) take her out for something, and have her friend bring her home or to your place(wherever the party might be at).
i did this for my daughter's 12th birthday-had her dad take her to a relatives house for a few hours and then bring her back home, and had everyone there and we surprised her as she walked in the door. she said she had no idea. it was great.
