hahaha ive been guilty of this. I claim its easier to see up the dress's that way, but in reality thats the way it should be. you should put your loved ones in a safe place as well. that is what he is hoping for, or maybe his name is doormat.
what i am saying is shouldnt your chosen love be held high in your world?now if you substitute the pedestal for matching his and hers thrones or soft beds or clouds or whatever you choose, then its alot neater than thinking your on a pedestal.believe me i understand what a complex that can lead to, like really letting your flaws come out because your uncomfortable being held in high esteem or respect.
my ex told me i wasnt a real man because i asked her opinion on big decisions that affected us(hahaha). she didnt know or care that i asked because she was(WAS) important to me.
when you love, you give and hope its returned, what can i say. you know the old saying"but i love them"

Once in awhile a pedestal is a nice place to be, after all it gives you a view from the top.
Being there overnight is not ideal.
I would suggest putting him and all his buds on those pedestals and dangle beer in front of them just out of reach.....smile

Next time you should ask him to move the pedestal to a temple of some sort.
