Speak & talk - Sometimes interchangeable
He/She speaks well. (Not talk)
He/she speaks two languages. (Not talk)
He/she talks incessantly. (Ramble on)
He/she talks about everyone.

Say & tell - Not usually interchangeable
Can you say that you are intelligent?
I can say that word correctly.
Can you tell me the answer? (Inform)
Can you tell me your age?
I'll tell you a secret.

Hear & listen - Not usually interchangeable
I hear a train. (Using ones sense)
I hear music.
Can you hear me now?
Will you listen? I'm talking. (Pay atttention)
Listen to this song.
Listen to me.

Ignore & neglect? Not usually interchangeable
Please don't ignore me. (Intentional)
How can you ignore that situation?
How can you neglect that child?. (May be unaware)
You have neglected to complete the task. (Failure)
He neglects his wife/children. (Unfilled responsibility)

Speak - Talk -> You always must talk to someone, and speak I think is more used about the ability, so, you speak languages, you speak well/bad, but you don't speak about the wheather for instance...

Say - Tell -> It's similar you tell something to someone, you may say anything, from 'ah' when you're at doctor, to say someone to do something...

Hear - Listen -> You listen a history or something someone tells you, and you hear a sound or a noise...

Ignore - Neglect -> These are different words, Ignore is not to take attention to something, Neglect is doing something in the wrong way...

Speak & Talk

- Speak is used when one person addresses a group.
- Talk suggests that two or more people are having a conversation.
(Sometimes they are used with similar meaning)

Say & Tell

- Say is used with words. (Say something to somebody)
- Tell is used when giving information. (Tell somebody something)

Hear & Listen

- Hear is to be aware of sounds in your ears
- Listen (to) is to pay attention to somebody or something that you can hear

Ignore & Neglect

- Ignore is to refuse to pay attention to.
- Neglect is to pay little or no attention to; or fail to attend properly.

Well, I had always have been problem that subject on english.......My english teacher in secondary school had said speak is speaking a language....talking is like chatting with somebody or two person's conversation....
Say is saying one word but telling is a longer job...Like telling a story bcoz u cannot say a story....u tell a story.....
Hearing is a moment job doing without willingly....u hear a sound for example....But listenin is doin it attentively and willingly....
Ignore is not wanting to see a person....but neglect is u forget him/her willingly or not willingly.....

when u speak, you are the only one who speaks.
talk- many people talk together.
hear- u dont pay attention carefully to what u hear.
listen-u listen to the teacher..that means u listen carefully..u process in your mind what u hear.
