its started about a week ago, I had to go pee real bad but I held it in. then all of a sudden the pain began so I went ahead and pee'd but ever since then I have had a dull pain in my upper left right under my ribs part of my abdomen. it tends to inflame when I have to pee. does anybody know what it could be?

could be kidney infection or kidney stones....I've had both...NOT FUN!!
Go to your doctor either way. Left untreated, kidney infections & kidney stones can cause damage. Not to mention they get more painful!!

Kidney pain or renal colic can and frequently does refer to the chest. You either have a left kidney infection or have dilated that ureter. Best to go have that checked.

i think you have a urinary track infection(UTI) better go to a doctor for medication...because i have experienced that before and hell it hurts!!!!
