Most Christians call God or Jesus Heavenly Father, Almight God when they speak to him in Prayer. My Question is, is it wrong to just call him Dad? Is this offensive in anyway?

Of course you can call God Dad, Jesus did when he used the word Abba. Abba means "Daddy." That's why all the Pharisees got so shocked and horrified by him--not only did he claim to be the Son of God, he talked to God like that.

I don't see why not:

Abba is the English transliteration of an Aramaic word (i.e. written in English as it sounds in Aramaic) which essentially means father, but in the original language expresses a much deeper affection and child-like trust in a parent. It's found three times in the New Testament, each time followed by its Greek equivalent, the two words together pronounced awb-bah, pay-ter, and translated in most English-language Bibles as "Abba, Father

We should not call god Father or dad because he is not. The Qur'an says:

THE UNITY, SINCERITY, ONENESS OF GOD, CHAPTER NO. 112

With the Name of God, the Merciful Benefactor, The Merciful Redeemer

112.001 Say: He is God, the One and Only;

112.002 God, the Eternal, Absolute;

112.003 He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;

112.004 And there is none like unto Him.

If you agree that God is Father then calling Him Dad will not be out of place.

No, it's not offensive. He told us to come to Him as little children. Christ himself actually called him, Abba, which is the same as papa or "Dad"

Some "holier than thou" type people would like to thnk it is offensive, but God wants a relationship with us, not religion.

No, Jesus called God "abba" which was a very personal way of saying "daddy". I really don't think God would mind, especially if you truly meant it.

If it is done with a respectful way since GOD is GOD. Then I see no problem calling him Daddy or the in Greek ABBA.

Not offensive at all! That's what Jesus did. . . and since he's our ultimate example, I'd say it's probably a good idea.
