I don't have a talisman but I *do* get nervous when people say bad things might happen; my husband is always saying that since he is so like his mother in appearance etc. he will probably get cancer because she did. I always feel that saying things like that out loud makes them more likely to happen. Intellectually I know that's nonsense, but it still makes me nervous.

I always salute a single magpie and say"good morning Mr Magpie who's your wife and children" to cancel out the sorrow - dont ask me why its Mr Magpie and not Mrs ? Wont walk under a ladder and never cross on the stairs to name but a few!!

yes because any thought has the potential to attract things to it, especially well established thoughts that possibly may have become everyday rituals. I sometimes wear quartz crystal around my neck, I don't know quite what it does though.

No, not really. My wedding day was on Friday the 13th, and we've been together 5 years!!! I guess my husband is my lucky charm!
