I don't think reincarnation is valid but I do think that a person upon death retains the same soul. There is an expression "He's an Old Soul" this meaning that the person has lived before and has retained what spiritual benefits it gained during previous lives. It is why some people are born with multitudes of talent and abilities. Others are new souls just entering this life plane. If you look around you can identify these new souls. Reincarnation suggests that an animal can be the actual person that died! Besides why would the highest form of life such as that of the human being come back to earth to be a dumb cow?

All such ideas rely on the concept that some part of us can survive our physical death - usually referred to as a 'soul'.
What exactly do you think a soul is? What properties does it have? What part of 'you' resides in the soul?
If it's postulated that consciousness, or awareness, or sense of self resides in the soul, it's difficult to see how this can be reconciled with the complete oblivion which accompanies general anaesthesia. How could a straightforward chemical, injected into the bloodstream, anaesthetise a soul so that it effectively ceases to exist during this time? If consciousness, in the form of a soul, were some kind of supernatural faculty, it would seem implausible that it could be completely disabled by a chemical.
How about some of the other things which we regard as essential parts of what makes a person what they are? How about love, compassion, reason, empathy, memory, conscious thought, character, 'spirituality' and so on? Well, there is really no plausible doubt that all these things are properties of the physical brain - We can alter all of these properties very simply with alcohol or other drugs, and observe how they change in people who have suffered significant brain damage. Previously placid people become uncontrollably violent, intelligent people become imbeciles, and so on. Stimulate the brain artificially, and the subject reports corresponding mental activity, e.g. 'religious experiences'. We can see from brain research that all these things - thought, emotion, sensation, character traits and so on - are correlated with activity in the brain, and some things can be identified with specific areas of the brain.
So, if all these faculties and characteristics of what we regard as the 'person' reside in the physical brain, as seems to be undeniably the case, and they all cease when the person dies, then what is left to be attributed to a 'soul'? As far as I can ascertain: Nothing. If there is no part of us that can continue after death, then there is no 'afterlife'... and if there is no afterlife, then most of religion is null and void.

120% real, although the answer with the earth that it's not the only "playground" is true, try thinking big, real big, bigger than dreams, minds and all that, think universal, think existential, i have 102 lives, this being the 102nd and, i daresay that i know most playgrounds... there's the world beyond, the spirit realm, dragon realm, human world(which is the entire human universe) demon world, the devi's world, the world of the sleeper, the prophet's world, entity's fortress, Arathor - "life's last chance", ertha, geld, metalia, thunderaan, outworld, and so on, all, floating pebbles in a huge, and infinite puddle: Pseudo-space, the space between worlds, it is the place where you find all that you do not seek and never what you seek (with exception of some items, I.E. sol blade, uriziel, world-weapons, like destiny, world-weapon forges, and so on) now, what i must tell you, because it is my duty as destroyer of worlds and messia alike, is that on each world, there are ceirtain portals, stone constructs of gigantic proportions, most destroyed by time and elements, but rebuildable nonetheless, by use of these portals one may traver to other worlds, mainly Makai, japanese for the world beyond, or after, from there there are portals to absolutally all the other worlds, of course there is a faster way than portals of traver between worlds but few can make it: it is a special technique called Blink, there are around four types of blink: to other worlds, through space(teleportation on the same world), through time, and etheral(all stops and you may go wherever you please, but you cannot touch the physical, as, for example you cannot open doors) after the etheral blink has ended you are in the same place in which you started, and time resumes it's normal course, oh, and Arathor is called the last chance of life because after every "wipe" or "reformation" of all the worlds, all life begins there once again... thus all life must be destroyed so that it may be reborn anew, of course a cataclismic event of such proportions desn't happen every day... now, on reincarnation, as you may know, the brain cells die first, and thus most memory is lost, only the strongest memories persist and leve with the spirit of the deceased, so that experience of important events in hystoy are never forgotten, i have been called many names.... some of which i don't even recall, but i know who i am, i am myself, destroyer and mesia of worlds, and i shall stand guard over life, untill it's time has come to be reborn anew once again... no matter how many lives i may loose, i'll do everything and anything in my power so that the worlds are saved, for so i have been ordered by the creator, Light, Love and Peace to you, and may you be enlightened.... forever....

Well id say no. Think of yourself as the unique being that you are, with all your traits and characteristics and with the feeling you have of, well, being you.
Now if you were reincarnated, how much of that YOU would remain?
I mean, if you became a different new being, how could you say it was really YOU being reincarnated, and not simply a new creature, unique in itself, coming to life?
Id say there's only one you, who lives only one life, every creature is new and unique.

I always say no, but if there was, i'd still be the same person continuing life. I don't believe life is a circle you start over and over, but it is one ray -------> This ray can be cut and become a line segment if you're not saved, then you cease existing. I believe hell is an event in which Earth is cleansed and Heaven is it's new atmosphere.

Well of course not, don't be ridiculous.
Its not like we shed and don lives the way we do underwear, isn't life more precious than that?
And if we have a completely different life to live again, what good is this one?,,, I mean why even try?
