if a boyfriend gives you a ring as a present, when you break up with them, do you stop wearing it?

If I broke up with him and was no longer in love with him, I would not wear the ring. If I was still in love with him, I would continue to wear the ring until I was over him.

I think that it would depend on what kind of ring it was, and why the ring was given to me. If it had a special meaning, like a promise ring, then I would stop wearing it. However, if it was a birthday or Christmas present, I would probably continue to wear it unless our relationship ended on really bad terms.

If you like the ring, why should you need to stop wearing just because you and him broke up? It just depends on what circumstances the ring was given to you on. But usually I would not stop wearing something if I liked it.

I would most likely return the ring. If I kept it, I would stop wearing it for a while, until one of us moved away or found another boyfriend or girlfriend or it stopped being painful for me to see.

No.I would still wear them NOT as a symbol of what we once had but just for wearing sake if u know what I mean.I use to tell myself that I will sell all my rings one day but hey just because we not together any more doesnt mean that I should get rid of them.

Well, if it's an engagement ring, then you should stop wearing it. But just a regular ring, I don't see a problem w/it.

I'll give the ring back to him but if he won't accept it ill just keep it in my jewelry box rather than wearing it.
