I think it is one of those pseudostatements that sounds profound but actually means absolutely nothing and makes no sense.

i does no longer have faith the words of Anton Lavey approximately something. If I keep in mind wisely he develop right into a follower of the daddy of Lies. even with the shown fact that for this reason Anton does accept as true with the Apostle Paul asserting that each and every physique such deceptions are from devil. i'm not sure there is this manner of ingredient as "White Magic" or "Black". In any experience the Bible says stay removed from all of it. Pastor paintings

heh, if you only knew about mother teresa...

Everyone thinks she was a wonderful person because she knew how to manipulate the media, but read Missionary Position by Christopher Hitchens. Mother Theresa felt that AIDS was God's just punishment for sexual immorality. She also accepted over a million dollars from S&L crook Charles Keating in return for her entreaties to Judge Lance to to show him leniency, and she ignored District Attorney Paul Turley's suggestion that she give the money back to the fraud victims from whom Keating stole the money in the first place. Her "clinics" for poor, dying people were very short on medical facilities (eg. diagnostics and treatment) but very aggressive on religious instruction. Her emphasis on proselytizing over medical care is even more apparent when you discover that whenever _she_ had an ailment, she always sought and received top-notch, top-dollar medical care. Mother Theresa didn't want to ease the suffering of the dying, save their lives, or live as they do; she just wanted to convert them before they slipped away.

No, I do not agree with it. If you love without reservation then you open yourself to the possibility of incredible pain. Loving my father has been painful over the years. Perhaps if I had closed my heart to him it would have been less difficult, but I have chosen to keep loving. I have loved him through a lot of hurt and love him now more than ever. He is dying. Is it going to be painful for me? It is painful just thinking of it.

I agree. At least I do when referring to the highest forms of love. Loving until it hurts in an erotic way is not so good. Neither is hurting because you allow yourself to be abused. In close personal relationships, you need to be able to set limits and not just keep giving because that is not good for either person.

That doesn't make any sense. If love hurts then something's wrong...and someone is probably laughing all the way to the bank. Paul McCartney's case comes to mind. Remember, givers somehow always end up with takers. A taker by nature will use every ruse in the universe to get you to keep giving.

Indeed. I am no Catholic, but I respect Mother Theresa's wisdom and kindheartedness.

To the Ninja guy above me... if you are a parent... you'll know what it's like to continue to love, even to the point where it hurts you... and even then... all there is left is just love, if you truly love them as much as you say you do.

I agree with it wholeheartedly. Mother Teresa has said much that is profound. She is truly an example I strive to follow.I admire her and her love. My favorite one of hers is her answer to almost everything:"Pray and forgive."

I agree. The power of healing relates love and pain and eventually converting that pain into more love. If that makes any sense...
