So in the past few days, there have been two miracles in India, witnessed by thousands.

Saltwater suddenly turned sweet. Scientists have not come up with an explaination better than the water being diluted.

And then, in a repeat of a miracle that occured almost exactly 11 years, statues of Hindu gods started drinking milk.

Any thoughts on this?

A greater miracle is happening in India every day. People survive the chaotic traffic, people tolerate and treat is as just a part of routine day-to-day life, when corruption of such great magnitude occurs almost in all walks of life, people manage to communicate despite so many languages and its dialects, and most of all, the economy absorbs the impact of the volume of black money perhaps far exceeds the white !

Who do gods always perform such banal and unimaginative miracles? Why don't we ever see miracles such as these:

o The engines fail on a jet airliner but it ends up suspended in the air 2 feet off the ground and people just hop off to safety instead of being pulverised at 200mph.

o A terrorist tries to machine-gun a crowd of worshipping Muslims in Iraq but his bullets turn to strawberry jelly as they leave the gun.

o Everyone on the planet with cancer is instantly cured.

o The value of Pi changes so that it is no longer 3.1415926535... but 3.0, to make it easier for us to work things out.

You see... claimed miracles are always something that could have happened naturally, or are too easy to lie about, or fake. They're never proof of anything other than the fact that people *want* to believe there are signs that a god exists.

I am a follower of Vedic Culture and I dare challenge you ...
What is the use of such miracle? Will it help any one to give up sinful activity?
Why turn some salt water sweet ? If you can really do it - turn the ocean sweet... After all for God nothing is Impossible....

You daily offer Food and Grains to God, and One day that offered food vanishes, you think that God is Eating ???
Why only Milk? God can eat all sweats also ... and God eats daily but leaves the remnants in the same way ...We call it Prasad ...So why do you think that God or Demigod is drinking only now ???

Please don’t represent Vedic Culture in such worthless way.. Vedic Knowledge is far more advanced and in-fact at many places exhibition of such "miracles" for name and fame is condemned ....

It sounds like the Hindu gods are no more practical than the Christian toast God. If they make saltwater sweet, that's great; I just wish they would do it in massive quantities for the people who don't have clean fresh water. I would be much more impressed if the statues started doing anything to help people.

Yes the tide changed for the salt water... and finally the Hindu Gods realized that milk is good for the body. As Milk Does Do A Body Good.

I just got a kind message from iprinpretz providing more background on the strange events in India.

In my original response, I asked for proof that these things had happened, and I was too blunt about it. I even called iprinpretz gullible.

iprinpretz, I apologize, and thank you for the kind message and additional info. As I noted in my message to you, I should be more interested in learning new things than in scolding people for reporting things that seem strange to me. I appreciate you taking
the time to send that message and give me the opportunity to try to straighten out my attitude.

As I also noted in my message, if I could get a brain transplant, I would. Maybe I should post a question in the medical section...

You mentioned that you had a link to more information on these events. Any possibility you can post the link here, in the "details" section of your question, so that we can all check it out? Now my curiosity is piqued and I'd like to learn more about this. It sounds cool!

Take care,
Big Al Mintaka

Sorry I don't, just can't accept the fact that something like that can happen without any scientific explaination. Atleast not in today's world.

Miracles were last given to Jesus (PBUH) by the grace of Allah. Even Prophet Muhammad did not have any miracles because the world was then mature enough to understand the facts rather then showing the presence of Allah using miracles.

I would never critisize any religion but I would critisize the leaders of the faith who put their followers faith at stake. If this turn out to be a hoax then what?

cant there be a miracle where people in this world start to love each other without any strings attached?

That must mean the Hindu gods are as "real" as the christian. Maybe believers can get them to fight it out on WWE.
