The female representation in a party - or any other minority, or section of society - is quite unimportant in my eyes. All that I deem necessary for our politicians is the ability to goven: I cannot see why anything else should be a consideration.

Therefore I agree with that someone else has said: complete politically correct drivel!

Just to go off on a tangent, I remember reading in The Times some time ago about a Government plan to try and reshape the members of the judiciary so as to better reflect the society who are affected by their decisions. Apparently, it is a bad thing that they were all from Oxbridge and had attended public schools in their youth!

This odd criticism has also been directed at our leaders. Hmmm, well personally I would rather have the elite of our society running the country (and judiciary) than people who are merely representative of society broadly.

A PR stunt of course. If it is being paraded in front of the media. Its to do with policies, doesnt matter if a man or a woman implements a policy, its still the policy that stands or falls.

Female representation in most of the countries is poor. While half of the popuation is females, they have no adequate representation in administration. This has to be corrected.Who ever takes any steps in this dirction requires encouragement.Let us watch performance Vs promise

Lost cause - get real Mr.Cameron. If women want to be equals - let them compete on merit.
