FRO- tends to not always work at the airport but handles reservations at a different location, depends on the airline and location. Good airline experience is preferred, or this is a good start, About 1-2 weeks of training, Phone skills needed as well as computer skills, and alot of knowledge in city codes, ect.

Ticketing officer or gate/ ticket agent, is what I am- Checking in passengers, luggage dealing with the good, the bad the ugly. Also going to the gate for boarding, last minute seat changes, checking with the crew, ect. If you have seen the show Airline, That is what they do and then some, not everyone is drunk.

Good luck!

hope this helps.
