i would say an heretic, foolish, full of pride, and bullies, small hearted, blinded by your own ignorance, also close minded, who wont open the Holy Scriptures and ask the Lord to open up their heart and mind to His Word. Christ does open up the eyes of the blind.

this person dosnt know me and who ever it is dosnt know all atheists and they still judge us. i thought judging people was a sin.
i'd say you are the one with the ignorance pride and closed mind

and as far as bullying when have you been bullied by an atheist?

we are the ones being bullied by the followers of your religion.

atheists dont go to the mall and hand out little books that read frown jesus is'nt real.

but yet im always being lectured by strangers and handed mini bibles.

I'm sorry you've had such a negative experience with religion. Alot of people who see behavior like this are actually pushed away from any religious belief and I don't think these pushy preachers realise that.
One thing we have to remember though is that there are people like this no matter what their belief is. I am a christian, but went to a very small liberal college where I was the only one. I constantly was beaten down upon by atheists! I could've shot back at them if I wanted to, but I think topics like religion or politics should be shared only if the other person is a willing has the free will to do so. If someone asks me a question, I'll answer it. All you can do is be understanding and don't become like them just to prove a point. Christians hand out little books on jesus because they believe that they are being messangers of God. Say no thank you and continue on your way. I'll admit, I agree sometimes its creepy and too much. Just be glad you aren't living in a country where you dont have freedom of religion.

That person is just ignorant. If he was more educated he would see that his stupid religion is no more valid than any other religion out there, which includes the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. To me, believing in the B.S. in the bible is ignorance to the extreme. Who are they calling close minded when they are the ones who can't see their bible is nothing but a collection of poorly fairy tale used by the powers that be to control the unthinking peasants? Christ does NOT open the eyes of the blind, medicine and advance technology does. The only salvation is through science and knowledge, not stupidity and ignorance propagated by religion invented by silly superstitious uninformed people thousands of years in the past.

Just because you don't believe it does not mind that is correct. Though of course your view should be respected, and some christians get carried away in their effort to try and convert. Believe it or not, they do actually have your best interests at heart, though of course who defines best is another matter!

Sorry I didn't quite understand what you meant by the first part of your question, but if that was said by a christian, then I think they are using bad tactics. I am a christian, and try to be as friendly and as good a person as I can be and show people that way why Christianity is good for you etc etc.

The link below is another question of a very similar nature, read it, it is very interesting.

Hope this helps, and hope that you don't have to feel threatened by us Christians, I assure you, we arn't as scary as you might think!!

I do not know you and can not speak about you personally. I do agree you should not be bullied by people who do not share your beliefs. Jesus did say Judge not lest ye be judged. He also said if we are to judge do it righteously. I try not to judge because I do not believe any human can be righteous enough to judge. I prefer to leave judgment up to God

I have been, and every Christian has been bullied by atheists. Maybe not by you personally but it does happen all the time. The difference is we are attacked in the courtrooms.

Because of lawsuits filed by atheists I can not always practice my religious beliefs. Many atheists have sued and won the right to have all references to God removed from many public places. They claim they are offended and therefore it should be removed. Well I am offended that my freedom of religion is constantly being trampled on. I can not force you to accept my beliefs and you can not force me to accept yours. We both have a right to believe what we choose to believe. Yet by court rulings I am constantly forced to abandon my beliefs in many public settings. This is contrary to the teachings of my beliefs.

Some atheists run to the courts to sue if they hear the word God. What do you would think will happen if all Christians run to courts and sue because they can not hear the word God?

I believe atheists, like all other religions, have their radicals too.

A lot of what you said is true. It is no one's place to judge you and belittle you. There are a lot of people that honestly and truthfully love you. They are trying to reach out to you and point you to the truth of life but they just aren't doing a great job of being effective, considerate, and sensitive. I'm sorry that you've had this experience, I really am. Think about this, if you don't believe in the existence of a god(s), then how is judging a sin? It is no one's place to ever judge another. Just know that God is real, you weren't created by accident, that God really does care and love you, He really does, just call out to Him. He is there, in everything He is there.

I hear ya... I never try to convert christians to my way... and the only time I bash them is when they insist on badgering me so I defend myself and my beliefs. Most of them don't seem to realize that judging IS a sin and according to their own religion and their own bible (which i have read), and only "god" has that right. Unfortunately I don't think this post will the persons mind or even insult them though. They have "faith"
