ok, please don't give a smart a**.answer. My MaltiPoo is 9 months old. Hes done awesome at potty training. I'm home all day, so hes never hardly ever alone.HGoes t the door BUT, about 5 out of 7 days aweek, for the last 3 weeks,I wake up in the am to a pile of poop on the kit. floor, and lately hes been peeing also on the laun, hamper in the kitchen. The last couple times I caught him peeing, I take him directly outside, and I've been putting him the bathroom with the door shut doing a "timeout" hoping that this will teach him. We don't have a cage. That didn't work, He barked so much that I literraly couldn't take it. He is soooooo spoilled rotten, Its a 10 yr old daughters pup. They do everything together,. I got rid of the cage, and he started sleeping in her beed. that was fine, until he started jupping down and would do in the kitchen and pee on my laundry basket, ,he did it again, all over the hamt.,I grabbed him up tood him over to the pee, and let alittle of it drizzle on him

The dof sleeps with my daughter, if I was to try to teach him by putting him in the bathroom, andd he does is BARK!! non stop!! Hes so spoiled and use to beeing out and . about When He goes in the "timeout" he barks with his lungs as loud as they can go. I'w wondering if you jealous about something because my daughter starts school in the am and I think he knows it, all her friends have been here doing fashion school clothes display. and Diamond trying toget right up in the middle of them, He drives them crazy. Hes so rotten. He wants the attention completely towards him. Oh yea,,,and hes also getting into thetrash cans that sit in bedrooms, AND heres the worst. I bakes a B-day cake for my niece. WE eat some, got up went in another room, I walk back in to the kitchen , and hes jumped up on the table going to town on a chocolate and cream cheese cake. The the night before I had a box of ricekrispies treats on my table a,d he knocked them down, got the top off, and ate them.Hes physcho!

He has high quality food, which he eats, so its not about him not liking his dog food because he eats it all!My daughter went upstairs and shut the door becasue Diamond knows he not allound up there because he'll pee somewhere, So she left him sitting on the step, for all of 2 minutes. She opens the door to come back down the staris and that little terd had pooped right there on the steps! Gee, think I have a spiteful pup here? He knows exactly what hes doing. But why? I give him soo much attention. Could if be him acting out because Ashley is always outside on her bike, or wherever and he has a fit to go, but he can't go out there. Then when we hook him up aoutside with us, he barks at EVERYTHING! He loves to go in the car, but he freaks out when Ashley goes in a store , and I mean temper tantrum!
I give him sooo much attention during the day, so I just don't get it. Hes like a baby testing me to see what he can get away with!! I'll take any advice PLEASE!!

I tried closing Ashleys door do he couldn't get out to the kitchen but I'm scared he might pee in her room. I swear this whole things seems hes trying to be spiteful to me.But I love him to death, but I am the one that gets on him and corrects him,JUst like my kids, I'm not going to let him get away with doing these things , its going to stop one way or another. Should I send him to obedience school? Whats the best age limit for that? Or does it matter the age? Also, I need to get him fixed obviously because now hes on a kick of humping the girls. Why do they do that? Don't dogs have enough sense to realize that their humping a kids leg and not a female dog??lol Will getting him fixed cure that problem of him humping everybody? He goes through sprees, 2 days he'lll do it off n on all day, then maybe a day of none. But then he'll be right at it. Does the surgery seriously make him stopp humpping??

you have got your work cut out for you. your male dog is growing up and isnt a little boy anymore and wants anyone or any other animal that comes around to know that they are treading on his turf. not only is he a male but he thinks of himself as the alpha male and you and your family are members of his pack. hence the marking of territory and temper tantrums when his pack members wander outta sight. my suggestion would be to let him breed once (if you can stand to wait a while for results) then have them little nuggets nipped. he will continue to hike his leg in places where is scent is still apparent, therefore you will need to buy some urine neutralizer (available in pet stores, etc) to remove the already present odor and keep him from returning to the same places and leaving his calling card. once he is neutered it will take a short while for the raging hormones already running ramped through his cocky lil self to slow down but he will eventually stop the humping and hiking all over everything and eveybody. however he will continue to think of himself as the alpha male of his pack (your family) which he will always be but with some discipline and patience and deterrent the hiking on your belongings should slow and eventually stop. try the puppy training pads eventhough he isnt a puppy they still attract him to tinkle on them. he would much rather pee on them to cover the phermones that are on them to claim the new turf. read some books as well to see if there are some personality traits that you can work on with him. dogs really do love to learn. you can get all kinds of teaching and training literature at the library if you would rather not spend the big bucks some of these books cost. the books can be real eye openers for you......believe it or not. good luck and don't forget you and your family belong to him not the other way around. lol!

First off, you will want to get your dog checked at the vet to make sure that there is no medical problem causing him to hee imappropriately.
As for the humping problem, dogs to it to humans when they are trying to establish dominance over them. Getting him neutered will help a lot, as will taking him to obedience training (he's at a good age to learn). Make sure that the dog will obey the kids when they give him commands; that will help him understand that they are dominant over him.
If I were you, I would start over again with housetraining. Dogs don't understand punishment unless you witness them making them mistake and correct them immediately, so it's no use correcting them after the fact. The best thing to do would to keep the dog confined to an easy to clean area of the house, and let the dog outside to use the bathroom every hour or so. If you witness him having an accident, scold him by saying "No" loudly and take him outside. If you don't witness the accident, just clean it up without scolding him. It won't take him long to figure out that he has to go outside.
Don't trust him with full run of the house until he is 100% housebroken for a few months. You might want to bring back the cage, and keep him confined in the cage when he is not outside or being watched directly. Dogs hate to go to the bathroom in their cages, so he will hold it until you take him outside. It will probably only take a month or so before he gets the idea of going outside again.

That is only going to make thing worse cause now he is starting to think that maybe he can not put that much trust in you I think why he did that was cause he wanted out to do his thing but you was in bed asleep. to see if I am right have your daughter stay up and see if he want out early or when ever to do his thing if so well I guess that is the answer I had a friend well not a friend any more she stabbed me in the back by telling everyone in the block I lived in that I sold drugs and I do NOT do drug never did never will. but she had a boston terrier and she s hit all over the rug and that happened two days in a row turned out that the dog wanted the owner to pay attention to her and she stopped doing that. and she got better dog food too so maybe your daughter needs to spend more time with the pup. good luck
