Gather all your crafty friends and make your own decorations and flower arrangements. Have a small wedding in a country church and have your wedding reception either in the church's fellowship hall or at the park. (depending where you live and how warm it is in November) Make your own invitations too. There are a lot of ways to cut costs.
Here are some sites that might help.

Most of all, remember that it's YOUR day. It can be simple and wonderful at the same time. Enjoy it!

I'm married now ,
As there is only few months get learning how to dance and pick a song come the evening you both get onto dance floor have this wonderfull dance and amaze the guests.
disposable cameras on every ones table and tell them to keep snapping all night.
find some really good beauty spots in the area and even make it part of the day that you get some beautiful photos done there.
if you are staying at a hotel that night ask for bucket of ice later in evening put a bottle in it get some petals on bed and place candles around the room or even ask the bridemaids would thye set this up for you so you get surprised at the room too.

We got married very inexpensively - we were both in our mid 30s, had lived away from parents for years and had good jobs, so we thought we should do most of it ourselves. We booked a registry office, had my Mum do the flowers and one of her friends made the cake. I wore leather (!) - jacket from TKMaxx and skirt discounted because it was for a wedding - and hubby had a new suit which he has since used for work. We had the reception at my Mum's house, then a party at a local private club - a curry from the local restaurant and a tip top DJ who played our own play list. We had a wonderful day and it wasn't expensive. What mattered most to both of us was that we spent the day with people that we loved. Good luck and many congratulations!

One of our daughters gave us 6 wks to help her put a wedding together for her. First we made sure the priest of our church could marry them on the day the couple wanted. Second we made a quest list of our relatives, their close friends and our close friends. We found a banquet hall that was affordable. We had a buffet style dinner, a 1 hour open bar and a DJ. We were having such a good time that the bride, groom and their quests came over to our room (the bride was our neighbor's sister. ) and partied with us.

All the wedding hoopla isn't important, it's the ceremony (the words) and the feelings behind that make it special, like writing your own the whole thing not just your vows like many do. And having it someplace that is special to the both of you like the spot at the park where you first met for example. It's these things that are important not all the other crap. Good Luck

Take a look at how much a holiday country cottage will be to rent for a week. it will be the off season so shouldn't be too expensive. Look for self catering, tell the owner you are just married....you MAY get a small discount.........and you will catch the end of autum........walks through woods? Estate agents are not always the best places to look, but shop around.

Tell your partner you want him to BE romantic on the day!! My husband really is lovely but i found myself getting annoyed with him for not coming over and giving me a a hug and a kiss periodically (cos youre so busy talking to everyone you barely have time for eachother) I assumed he would know to be like this but hes a bloke and they dont think like us. I had this image of us being so loved up we couldnt keep our eyes off eachother but it turned out that we hardly ever laid eyes on eachother!!! Hes so friendly to everyone that even on the 10min trip from the venue to the evening do he talked to the driver rather than smooch with me on the back seat. If i could do it again i would tell him i wanted mushyness laid on with a trowel! It was the best day of my life though, enjoy every minute. Congratulations xx

Strikes me that if you are getting married to your soulmate you could do it in the street dressed in a refuse sack and it would still be the most romantic thing in the world!!!
Good luck and hope you have years of happiness together!
