Of course you will be remembered. And be given the cold shoulder for a day or two. Don't try to lavish a lot of attention on her right away unless she initiates it. She may not be ready. Cats are finicky and will let you know when your attention is desired. After all, you did (abandon) her for 2 months.

When my parents retired and moved out of town, I haven't seen my Mom's cat in about 6 months. When I went up for Christmas, as soon as I sat down, she jumped up in my lap, curled up and started purring (we're talking about a cat that'll hiss and growl at strangers in the house-good watch kitty)
I don't think it'll be an issue unless it's a kitten...

sure...
we had a two-year old cat once and we gave her to a friend because we had too many...
after about a year, i visited our friend. The cat then just immediately meowed at me and snuggled in my lap...
i would think though that if it's a kitten and maybe less than a year old, they might have difficulty recognizing you...
yes, they're quite right. Your cat might be a little confused why you left her, and so might not show their affection right away, but give it time...
she's your pet and she'll just love you...

Cats have sharp memory
I had a cat who hated one of my brothers and by only calling his name she would just hate it
my sister was away for 8 years and when she came to visit my cat who usually hids from strangers just came up to her and just remebered her
on the other hand when my brother came after 2 years she also remebered him!!!
so do not worry .. she gets back to normal but maybe she just needs to understand why you left and she is trying to figure it out just give her time

The cat will most assuredly remember you. Cats are very smart. They assess the way you smell, what you look like, how you feel, and what your voice sounds like. They have 60% recall of events which is a lot more than dogs.

Yes. Cats have very good memory. Whenever I go on vacation, my cat remembers me. So does my parrot. Depends on how close you are to it.

It depends on how old the cat is, but I think they will remember you. They will give you the cold shoulder for a while though.

Yes, your cat will recognize you, but if it has as many resentment as mine, it may be angry with you... so may be you will need a readjusting period while it pardons you...
