can i install an antivirus in my pendrive , that act like it is in the computer??

I dont see a utility in doing that.

The system / pc you attach has its own OS. Once the system has booted, u attach USB which is recognised as a removable media. You are not booting from pendrive. U need AV active from the host machine u r acessing the pen drive. The only way installing a AV on pendrive would makes sense, is if you install a complete OS onto it and then AV. Next time when you want to transfer the files to pendrive, boot the machine via pendrive (enable boot from USB / other devices in BIOS) and then goto the folder of client you want to copy and copy it to pendrive.

The whole process is weird - no1 I know does that

You are safer if you Install a AV on yur system & perform check before transfering the file to yur system. Installing AV for mobiles / PDA which has its own (OS) Operating System is a common practice. Both Norton & Mcaffee have for mobiles / PDAs.

You don't need antivirus in your pendriver. When you plug it in your computer, then you scan the pendriver. Also turn off autorun on you Windows, cause that's where the security hole is with usb-drives.

in my opinion, install it in the computer. it is better and safer.
