its a wonder they dont crash! women drivers are virtually kissing the steeering wheel its a joke .

Ha ha, i do because i cant reach the pedals unless the seat is pulled right up or see over the bonnet if i dont lean over the wheel. Maybe the women you see arent very big either, or they see you coming and do it to wind you up!

I have no choice. If I didn't have the seat pulled right forward, I wouldn't be able to reach the pedals, being small. However, I do pull the back of the seat into a slight recline so that I am NOT sitting on the steering wheel!

it's a height/leg length issue if they do...women are more likely to be petite and thus have to move the seat farther forward to be able to safely and comfortably reach the pedals. this is also the reason it is permissible for those under 5'2" to disable the airbags, as being so close to the wheel could cause serious harm during airbag deployment.

I like to sit in an upright positon while i am driving and because of the way some seats are designed it puts me pretty close too the steering wheel.
also my hight plays a factor too cause i am short so i have to bring my seat up closer for my legs to reach the pedals.

Certain guy's are looking TROUGH the steering wheel,that is equally strange ! But I think it's only small people that should have a booster seat .

Yes, like Scoop, I am rather short, so have to have the seat as far forward as possible so that I can reach the pedals and see out. I sometimes wonder what would happen if my air bag goes off tho'......

Maybe because they are generally smaller, and have to lean forward to see what is directly in front of them?!?! I don't know but my Aunt does, and it is a little unreassuring at the least, she does seem as if she is trying to look over the front of the car I think!

how close to the driving wheel you are depends on the length of your legs!
