I Think first you should see a Rheumatology Specialist, Ive had Arthritis for 20 years and ive been told so many different things by so many different people, And what might work for one person may not always help another, Cortisone Injections in the bottom or even in the joints help me a lot.
If your having a bad day dont exercise, and on your good days do only what you need and not much more, Eat oily fish, take fish oil and use olive oil in your cooking too... But do see a specialist, Good Luck :-)

Athritis is caused when a joint becomes inflamed.

Anti-inflammatory drugs, such as Indomethesin are prescibed.

I was diagnosed with this condition when I was 13. The pain was excruciating, especially first thing in the morning.

At it's worst, the mearest touch is enough to cause pain, luckily for me, I only occasional flare ups and usually self treat with ibruprofen.

I suggest taking cod liver oil tablets as this can help ease the stress on the joints.

Exercise is good, but don't over do it as further damage can be caused.

I tried pain killers and anti-inflammation drugs, they would make me so bloated and my ankles suffered very much. I sopped all my prescribed medication except for the daily vitamin, little aspirin for heart therapy. I saw an infomercial about Iceland fish oil and I ordered it. I'm on the second month and guess what, I lost the water I was retaining, my knees and ankles feel better and I don't feel so bloated. I must admit, I need to lose a great deal of weight. And if I do, it will help tremendously.

I would talk to your dr regarding the exercise, but you can get some capsaicin cream and it works wonders to take away arthritis pain, just don't put it on before you get in the shower cause the hot water will make it burn a bit

It's ARTHRITIS, and some people swear by GLUCOSAMINE. This is actully Glucosamine Sulphate, and is available in tablet form in weights yp to 1500mg. As it happens, I tried it and it was no help whatsoever, but some people find it DOES help, so you could give it a whirl.
