um, no, or you're not a vegan...and not only can you not eat poultry, but neither can you eat the egg that it just laid, or the milk from the next barn over.

If you want to be a true vegan, no. You have to really do serious research and have dietary supplements and be careful what you buy all the way down to the oils you use and the bread you eat. Vegans eat nothing that is related to animals, no chips or foods cooked in animal fats or nothing. Vegetarians are more open and eat some animal products and just not real meat. Either way you need to like buy a book or something on it so you don't deny yourself any important nutrients or vitamins.

I'm not vegan so don't totally take my word for it...but what I understand is that vegan is more like a whole lifestyle and not just a diet. The vegans that I have known didn't wear anything that came from an animal...no leather. They also didn't eat anything that was an animal product...no milk, eggs, cheese, meat...nothing. Vegitarian is a bit easier way to go...they just don't eat meat I believe...but I don't know that it is so much a deeper lifestyle choice such as not wearing leather shoes or things like that.

No, unfortunately. Poultry, fish; even eggs, butter and cheese are off the menu. Veganism is a far more extreme form of vegetarianism, where /all/ animal products are considered taboo.

You are not trying if you are eating flesh. Trying is avoiding as many animal products as possible until you become educated on what a vegan diet is.

A vegan eats no meat or produce from animals eg, milk. Chicken is a white meat, so in that case, no. Eggs...i'm not sure, but in this case, again, no.
