Biting is an interesting part of closeness. Here's a question: have you ever been with the one you love, and you are so happy to be with them, that you feel like playfully grabbing their arm, and giving them a nip because of the intimacy of it?
Look at animals - when they are mating, the majority of them are biting and scratching each other. That is not the say that the same thing and reason applies to humans, but something has to be said for that.
When you bite someone, it means that you are in close. It is an intimate exchange. Of course, in most cases, it is seen as antagonistic, or something you might do to defend yourself.
But it is also a way of getting the one you love's immediate attention, and when you DON'T bite them with the same demeanor as like in a fight, it becomes more like a 'love tap'.
More to be said on this from person-to-person, but I know that there are good intentions on this, and you can still gently bite.

I think this goes back to the 90's when Ann Rice did those vampire Chronicles it's like a pain for pleasure I also think it's because of fact more animistic more raw
