Go and see a doctor. BO normally only happens after puberty when the sweat glands are operating fully. Seriously, go and get this checked out.

I have never heard of it in a child so young. As you say she picked up a bug at the swimming pool, why not take her along to the doctors and explain fully what is happening to her. She may have the bug still in her blood stream and a simple blood test would reveal this. Good luck

B.O. As in BODY ODOR??? Yes of course they can.

Other than that I have NO clue as to what YOUR B.O is referring to!

The Local Swimming Pool is teaming with all sorts of contaminants. You can contract anything from Pink Eye to Planters Warts to Fungus's.

YOU should ALWAYS take a good hot / warm shower AFTER swimming in ANY pool/sea/ocean etc.
