it is not offical yet for me and my friend. but we've been getting close in a resemlence of a relationship for about 3 months. to most people i see here it seems like a long enough time for more "private relations" but to me it just seems like a really short time.

is this because i was friends with her for 5 years before this closeness or that i am 21 or is it just because i am weird?

to me 3 months is just not long at all. how many people agree?

I agree 3 months is not that long. I think people consider "months" a long time because of the way people do not commit to each other so much any more. The single parents out there make it seem like commitment is just a passing thing. Like a divorce is just part of a marriage contract. When it has been a year or more depending on the people it would be more of a commitment. No you are not weird. Just be comfortable with how you feel and accept your friend as she is and continue not to rush into things with her to make sure you do not lose each others friendship.

I agree that 3 months isn't long. I think it just depends on you level of...maturity or commitment. So for people that don't like to be tied down 3 months is a long time, but for those who prefer a long-term commitment 3 months is not even the beginning. You do what works for you, and don't rush yourself or the relationship. The moment you start comparing where you and her stand to other relationships it could go wrong. Don't think that just because someone else you know is already dating after a 3 months that you should do it to. It sounds like you have a really good friendship, and probly one that you wouldn't want to lose. Go at your own pace, and be yourself. Trust me.

I would have to agree. I know a few couples who have been together about that much time, and have already started talking about moving in together, buying a house/property together, buying promise rings, and getting identical tattoos. Some are in their early 20s like you, and some are in their early 30s. Being friends for 5 years is a whole lot different than being romantically involved. What's the rush?

It is all reative. Like you said, depends on a person and their maturity level. Also, compared to what? A few weeks? Then yeah, few months is a lot.

If you're a mature person, I'd say 3 months is not long enough to decide if she's the one for the lifetime. You simply didn't have enough sample data.

Hi i just came out of a 4 month relationship. It began to get really intimate.I felt like I had found the gurl in my life, I loved her like mad. Then as time went on , I discovered that we dont click.
So my advice to you is, leave it for a year, see how bad he wants you...do younknow what he wants? has he been nice to you? or is he just looking for some pleasure?
So in the end.........wait till a year, dont confess anything just now....wait first.
