I was with a woman that had sex with me on the first date. I ended up dating her for 2 years. It's been 3 years since the relationship ended and I'm still friends with her and I still care very much about her, and it was a great relationship while it lasted.
Sex on the first date just means you are very physically attracted to the other person (and she was very attracted to me), which in terms of starting a relationship, is actually a good thing. People are reading into this behavior as if it means something else. I can tell you with absolute confidence that just because a girl waits till the 5th date or whatever the industry standard is before having sex doesn't mean she won't cheat on you.
Sex on first date just means a lot of physical attraction, that's it. People are trying to tell the future with it or something. In fact I'd be wary of women that follow any of these dating rules. They are made up by people that play mind games. Makes you wonder if they're following rules because they think that's what they should do, or they're actually mind game players themselves.

that particular quote sounds kind of cheesy, but to not want to do it on a first date would not only be smart, but it would be the only smart answer. the media has convinced everyone that they've gotta do it, especially if their a guy, but the fact of the matter is that on a first date you can't possibly know a person well enough to do that with them, it would vary on the person how long you'd have to be going out before its wise to make that choice, but i'd say probably a year or more (based on both people being 18 or older)

ya its not stupid u r on safer side now she will respect u more , and its a gud start u will get plenty of time for these things first understand each other then go for sex . and its upto u how long u take to know each other :-))

depends on whether or not you think sex on the first date a desirable trait in a potential partner; developments of a sexual nature(and this is just one man's opinion) need to and should take time to occur...maybe fifth, or even fourth date-certainly not sooner.

No it's not ! But if you pass on it ,you may or may not get a second chance. Depending on how much she wants you ! But theirs nothing wrong with waiting til you know that person a little better.
