Not all faiths believe in sin and the need for repentance. Mine doesn't. I don't really even know what a sin is. Aren't these concepts only found in the Abrahamic religions?

In Buddhism 'sin' has everything to do with your mental motivations. So no action is always a sin and any action could be a sin.
It all depends on your mental motivation.
'Repenting' is done by meditating on your actions. If your action produced a negative result, or suffering in someone else, you should make sure you do not take that action again and if possible rectify the problem you created.

in hinduism one can repent 4 their sins by praying to the lord 1st and then doing some good deeds tht would make up 4 ur sins, like donation , service in temples and meditation with full concentration on god.
i personally dont think this works coz once a loss done u can nvr mend it by doing anything.if its a mistake then its okay but not 4 a grave sin.
1 has to face the consequences of wht 1 does!

It depends on the sin. I'm LDS.
Recognize they've committed a sin.
Feel remorse for the action(s).
Ask God for forgiveness.
Rely on the atonement of Christ.
If the sin effected other people, do what you can to make it right.
Some sins require a confession to the Bishop, and require forgiveness from the Church.
Don't repeat the sin.

People in my faith do not commit sins, so repentance is not necessary. It is not that we are perfect -- it is that we do not believe in the concept of sin.

It's a "me and Jesus" thing - no ritual, no sacrament.
Often repentance involves simply asking for forgiveness. Some people seek out accountability partners with whom they can discuss their shortcomings and their weaknesses and gain strength from their advice. Still others may perform good works as a pleasing sacrifice to God.

1. Recognize that I haven't lived up to the precepts I have vowed to practice.
2. Resolve to do better.
3. If it is helpful, discuss the matter with friends and/or teachers.
