I have heard that the newer Ford Taurus engines are Mazda engines. Is this true?

It depends on the model.

Some models use the Duratec 30 V6 engine, which is identical to the Mazda AJ engine. It is built in Cleveland.

The Vulcan V6 (currently used) is used in some Mazda vehicles, but is a Ford-designed engine. And despite what a previous person said, the Taurus is still in production, though only sold as a fleet vehicle.

In any case, Ford owns 33.4% of Mazda, so they share a lot of technologies and parts.

The 3.0 24 Valve engine is similar to the 2.5 DOHC V6 in the probe and the 626 Mazda but , the Engine is manufactured by Ford.

The 3.0 OHV Engine is Ford design and Ford manufactured.

Could be. Ford has had a partnership with Mazda for about 25 years and they bought a big stake in Mazda a year or two ago. I had an 87 Ranger that used a Mazda transmission.

Yes it could very be a Mazda engine, I know that they did put a Mazda motor into the escort and Ford owns less than half of Mazda
