I was 17 when my hubby and I got married and he was 19. Now I wouldn't recommend that for every 17 year old. I was mature for my age. We have beat the odds too and are still madly in love after 17 years of marriage.

Personally, I think it's too young...however I had a friend that got married at 16, she's currently pregnant and in the final month or so. I've made a decision of waiting until I've set a solid foundation money wise. It's expensive to have a wedding, not to mention raising a child...or two or three. So, having your financial future secured before you "get it on" is a really good idea. But again, that's me.

i have madly loved my husband since i was 13. i married him at the age of 20. i am 24.

i read alot of the answers after i posted mine.

we did not get married bc of a child being on the way. He graduated from college. I did not. I dont like school. We have both been to other countrys. We both do many things with friends that we enjoy.

A few of the answers I saw, the ppl felt as if they did not get to become themselves because of the marriage. I feel as if I have gotten to become myself. But I feel that this is because my husband and I have friends that we spend time with out each other, and because we keep some parts of our lives seperate from the marriage. You have to trust your other half. Let them do things that make them happy and then at the end of the day they will be coming home to tell you all about it.

Nope. My mother was married for 2 years by then. My parents would still be married if they were both still alive.
Getting married that young works for some people but its not for everyone.

No, in some cultures, the men or boys are married as young as 12 in arranged marriages. It all depends on what you want in a relationship with someone.

Yes, very young. In fact you should be in college or something. Best Advice: get a degree, get stable, then marry.
